Luke 2:36-38: And there was a prophetess, Anna the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in years and had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37 and then as a widow to the age of eighty-four. She never left the temple, serving night and day with fastings and prayers. 38 At that very moment she came up and began giving thanks to God, and continued to speak of Him to all those who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.

Today I would like to finish up the study we began last week. One of these days we are all going to stand before the Lord who bought us with His blood and we are going to give an account… an account of what we did with the free gift of salvation… an account of what we did to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior… an account of what we did win the battle against the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
